SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the petroleum refining industry, in particular, to methods for producing environmentally safe non-carcinogenic high-viscosity plasticisers applicable in production of synthetic rubbers and tyre rubbers for various purposes. The invention relates to a method for producing a non-carcinogenic high-viscosity plasticiser by means of distillation to remove low-viscosity highly volatile components from the initial hydrocarbon raw materials, including heating the initial raw materials to a temperature of no higher than 340°C, transferring the low-viscosity highly volatile components into a vaporous state and separating from the high-viscosity heavy residue. The distillation process is executed at a pressure close to atmospheric, the initial raw materials after heating are mixed with an inert gas - nitrogen circulating in a closed circuit, petroleum residual extracts with a content of aromatic hydrocarbons of at least 70 wt.% are used as the initial raw materials, at a mass ratio of the petroleum residual extracts to the inert gas from 1:3 to 1:12. The invention also relates to a non-carcinogenic high-viscosity plasticiser.

EFFECT: increase in the quality of the target product, with a content of the sum of 8 PAHs less than 10 mg/kg, with a content of benz(a)pyrene less than 1.0 mg/kg, and simplification of the operating conditions of the equipment.
