FIELD: gas industry.
SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to a method and device for controlling the technical condition of a shut-off and control valve; it can be used to monitor the condition of the shut-off and control valve without decommissioning it. A method for determining the level of gas leakage through a leaky gate of a closed ball valve of the shut-off and control valve of a pipeline includes measuring the pressure in a cavity of the ball valve with a pressure gauge. Then, the first valve installed in a pipe connecting a high-pressure pipeline to the valve cavity is closed, simultaneously with the opening of the second valve installed in a pipe connecting a low-pressure pipeline to the valve cavity, when measuring leakage through a seal between the valve cavity and the high-pressure pipeline. Next, the second valve is closed simultaneously with the opening of the first valve, when measuring leakage through the seal between the valve cavity and the low-pressure pipeline. When measuring leakage through the seal between the valve cavity and the high-pressure pipeline, after pressure stabilization, the method includes closing the second valve, measuring steady-state pressure P11 with the pressure gauge, measuring steady-state pressure P12 with the pressure gauge after a while, while, in the case of pressure inequality, it is concluded that there is a leakage, the volume of which is calculated by the formula
where V0 is the volume of the valve cavity at certain pressure P0. When measuring leakage through the seal between the valve cavity and the low-pressure pipeline, after pressure stabilization, the method includes closing the first valve, measuring steady-state pressure P21 with the pressure gauge, measuring steady-state pressure P22 with the pressure gauge after a while, while, in the case of pressure inequality, it is concluded that there is a leakage, the volume of which is calculated by the formula
EFFECT: creation of a method and device for determining the level of leakage through the leaky gate of the ball valve of the shut-off and control valve in the operating mode for diagnostics of sealing elements of the shut-off valve without decommissioning them, not resulting in emissions of the transported product into the atmosphere during the measurement process.
