FIELD: distribution of electric power.

SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to the charging of accumulators of electric vehicles. The charging cable, intended, in particular, for electric charging of electric vehicles, comprises a charging line configured to detachably electrically connect using a connector with a charged accumulator power source at one end and with the coupling unit of an adapter configured to detachably connect with the adapter forming a geometric circuit at the other end. The adapter therein is configured to detachably electrically connect with the power supply unit. The coupling unit of the adapter therein comprises a communication tool providing wireless communication with the adapter containing the corresponding communication tool. The control signals between the power supply unit and the electronic unit of the charging cable and/or the accumulator power source are therein capable of being transmitted wirelessly between the adapter and the coupling unit of the adapter. Also claimed are an adapter for a charging cable, a charging apparatus, and a method for electric charging of an accumulator power source.

EFFECT: ensured charging of an accumulator power source from various power supply units.
