FIELD: electrical engineering.

SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to a power outlet of the charging station of a charging unit for charging an electric vehicle. Charging unit comprises: an electrical outlet and a charging station. The electrical outlet is configured to receive and connect the charging station to a specific branch of the power set. The power set comprises a fuse box and a branch connected to the fuse box. The electrical outlet comprises a data storage medium configured to be read by the charging station. The data storage medium is configured with a data field in order to provide the maximum electric current possible to be extracted from the fuse box by a specific branch. The charging station is configured to read the data storage medium including data fields and to adapt the method for extracting current from the branch and supplying the extracted current to an electric vehicle correspondingly. The charging unit comprises a communication block for establishing a communication line with other charging stations in the power set in order to ensure coordination between the charging stations with respect to what amount of electric current can be extracted and/or what electrical phase should be used by each of said stations.

EFFECT: increase in the safety with a change in the configuration of charging stations.
