FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to an electrochemical technology for producing zirconium dioxide ZrO2 nanotubes with subsequent formation of quantum conductors. ZrO2 nanotubes are synthesised by the method of anodising a Zr substrate in an ethylene glycol-based electrolyte with a content of 5 ±1% wt. of H2O and 1.0 ±0.31 of NH4F at a constant voltage in the range of 20 ±5 V and thermal regulation of the anode at a temperature of 10±5°C. A Me electrode made of gold or platinum is then applied to the ZrO2 nanotubular layer. Quantum conductors are formed in an external electric field with a voltage of less than 25 kV/cm by grounding the Zr substrate and applying a positive voltage to the Me electrode. The amount of quantum conductors is then controlled by an electric field with a voltage of less than 6 kV/cm by grounding the Zr substrate and applying a positive voltage to the Me electrode.
EFFECT: production of quantum conductors stable at room temperature from oxygen vacancies in ZrO2 nanotubes.
