In the method, at least one electronic document signed with an electronic signature is obtained, the sender and recipient of the specified electronic document are identified, ensuring that the cryptographic protection standard used by them is determined on the basis of an electronic signature certificate corresponding to the specified electronic signature, if the identified sender and recipient use different cryptographic protection standards, the electronic document workflow operator corresponding to the identified sender and the electronic document workflow operator corresponding to the specified identified recipient are identified, on the basis of the specified electronic signature certificate, a request is sent to the server of the electronic document workflow operator corresponding to the identified sender to verify the validity of the specified electronic signature of the sender using the certificate chain of trust, upon receipt of confirmation of the validity of the electronic signature of the sender from the specified server of the electronic document workflow operator, data on another electronic signature is received, corresponding to the cryptographic protection standard used by the recipient, with the provision of additional signing of the specified received electronic document with the specified one more electronic signature and the specified twice-signed electronic document is sent to the server of the electronic document workflow operator corresponding to the identified recipient.
