A container (10) for transporting and storing liquids is proposed with a pallet-shaped bolster (29) for a plastic container (11) and a metal crate (22) with horizontal bars (23) and vertical bars (24) for placing the container, and the lower ends (27) of the vertical bars contain a molded connecting section (40) with a recess (43) in the form of a tray for welding with the lower edge profile of the crate (22), moreover, the vertical bars (24) for determining the bending section (58) contain an additional recess (59) in the form of a tray next to the connecting section (40), and the open part (60) of this recess is made on the inner side (32) of the vertical bars (24) facing the container (11), and the bottom (62) of the recess is formed by flattening the hollow profile (45).
EFFECT: increased protection against damage to the container in the lower corner zones of the container for transportation and storage without the additional use of corner amplifiers.
