SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of metallurgy and can be used for processing secondary aluminum raw materials to obtain alumina-containing material for refining and slag formation during steel smelting. Secondary aluminum raw materials are crushed, divided into fractions: -10 mm, +10-50 mm, +50 mm, after which the particles of the fraction +10-50 mm are subjected to magnetic separation and packed into containers, the particles of the fraction +50 mm are subjected to primary magnetic separation, crushing to a fraction +10-50 mm, secondary magnetic separation followed by packaging, and the fraction -10 mm is subjected to secondary magnetic separation. The pulverized fraction and the -10 mm fraction are mixed with a two-component binder on an anhydrous basis consisting of organic and inorganic based on polyacetates, after which the tablets are formed by pressing.

EFFECT: invention makes it possible to increase the pressing performance, reduce energy consumption, while the pressing force is reduced to 40 tons and the rotation speed of the press bands is increased to 40 rpm.
