FIELD: gas industry.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a method for the synthesis of ammonia from natural gas. The method includes: conversion of loading of desulfurized natural gas and steam carried out in a conversion section using oxygen-enriched air or using oxygen into synthesis gas containing hydrogen, CO and CO2; processing of the specified synthesis gas, including at least one reaction of conversion of carbon monoxide into CO2 and subsequent separation of CO2 from gas, thus obtaining CO2-depleted synthesis gas and a CO2-enriched gas stream containing CO2 separated from gas; optionally, a stage of methanation of synthesis gas and/or addition of nitrogen to synthesis gas. A part of the specified CO2-depleted synthesis gas is separated in the form of a fraction intended for use as fuel, wherein the specified fraction intended for use as fuel is loaded as fuel into at least one furnace. The specified separation of the fraction intended for use as fuel includes the separation of the specified CO2-depleted synthesis gas into at least the first stream and the second stream. The specified streams have the same composition, where the first stream is the fraction intended for use as fuel, and the second stream is process gas intended for the synthesis of ammonia, optionally after additional purification.

EFFECT: proposed method allows for a significant reduction in CO2 emissions into the atmosphere.
