FIELD: wind power.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to wind power; it can be used as a source of mechanical and electrical energy. The conversion of kinetic energy of a wind flow (hereinafter – WF) into mechanical or electrical energy occurs due to the periodic progressive movement of a pair of wind turbines in a plane perpendicular to the direction of WF. It contains a system for orienting wind turbines to a position perpendicular to a WF vector. A power unit consists of a crank mechanism, an accelerating gearbox and a generator, wherein shafts of a flywheel, an accelerating gearbox and a generator are geometrically positioned in the center of a rail ring, moving the device along which, an input of its box is oriented to the WF vector. Each of 2 wind turbines operates in 2 modes: in an operating mode, WF exercises force pressure over the entire swept area of the wind turbine, in a weather vane mode, the wind turbine with a minimized swept area moves towards WF under the influence of the second wind turbine in the operating mode.

EFFECT: ensuring the operation at low wind speeds and reducing the tipping moment of the device, which simplifies the structure and increases reliability during operation.
