FIELD: technological processes.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to thermomechanical treatment of titanium alloys for medicine, namely to creation of method for production of rods from superelastic alloys of titanium-zirconium-niobium system, and can be used for making bone implants. Method of producing bars from superplastic alloys of titanium-zirconium-niobium system involves heating workpieces to temperature of 800–950 °C and their deformation-thermal treatment by means of multi-pass helical rolling with intermediate heating and rotary forging. Screw rolling is performed with true degree of deformation making 0.55–0.85 of total true degree of deformation in helical rolling and rotary forging, with roll rotation speed of 9–70 rad/s and if observing ratio nΣz/N=2.8...12.0, where nΣz – total number of partial reductions in all passes, N – number of passes. Production of rods from superplastic Ti-Zr-Nb alloys with length of not less than 2,000 mm of size range by diameter from 3 to 10 mm is provided.
EFFECT: bars have temporary resistance during tensile tests of not less than 500 MPa and relative elongation of not less than 10 %.
