FIELD: metallurgy.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to metallurgy, in particular to the method for manufacturing flat products from an alloy based on titanium, and can be used in the manufacture of components intended for operation in the high-temperature zone of the gas turbine engines and other products intended for operation at temperatures up to 1,000 °C. Method of manufacturing a flat product from a hafnium-containing alloy based on titanium, including preparation of the charge, melting an ingot of a hafnium-containing alloy based on titanium, containing, wt%: tantalum 16–25, hafnium 7–15, chromium 3–6.5, zirconium 0.01–0.05, oxygen 0.01–0.03, carbon 0.01–0.05, nitrogen 0.008–0.02 hydrogen ≤0.005, titanium – the rest. Ingot is ground, coated with a protective coating and homogenized annealing is carried out. Next, the ingot is hot forged in three stages with variable deformation axes to produce a forging. In the first stage, forging is carried out in the longitudinal direction with a degree of deformation of 15–20 %, in the second stage – in the transverse direction with a total degree of deformation not higher than 25–35 %, and in the third stage – in the longitudinal direction with a total degree of deformation 35–40 %. Multi-junction hot rolling is carried out sequentially with a degree of deformation of up to 20–25 % for a transition with intermediate anneals and multi-junction cold rolling, and then recrystallization annealing is carried out.
EFFECT: flat products have stable mechanical characteristics at operating temperatures up to 1,000 °C.
