FIELD: acoustics.
SUBSTANCE: tool for forming a directional diagram contains a microphone array that is connected to the first generator of a directional diagram and the second generator of a directional diagram. Generators of a directional diagram are filtering and combining generators of a directional diagram containing a set of filters of a shape of a directional diagram, each of which has an adaptive impulse response. A mismatch processor determines a mismatch indicator between directional diagrams of the first generator of a directional diagram and the second generator of a directional diagram in response to a comparison of adaptive impulse responses of two generators of a directional diagram. The mismatch indicator, for example, can be used to combine output signals of generators of a directional diagram. The mismatch indicator is chosen to be less sensitive to scattered noise.
EFFECT: increase in the efficiency of noise suppression.
