FIELD: agriculture.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of agriculture, in particular to plant growing. The method includes applying a solution of a gibberellin preparation to vegetative soybean plants. Vegetative plants of soybean varieties, highly sensitive to a shortened day, are sprayed with a gibberellin solution with a concentration of 0.003% (30 mg/l) in the "beginning of flowering" phase with a flow rate of the working fluid at the rate of 20 ml/m2 (200 l/ha) of the area covered with soybean leaves. The area covered by soybean leaves is determined by measuring the total area of their projection onto the soil. The phase "beginning of flowering" is considered the phase when the first flower appeared on 10% of vegetative plants.
EFFECT: method provides for obtaining more productive soybean plants under conditions of shorter day lengths.
