SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the determination of the technical condition of the impeller machines during the operation of the vehicle. The solution to this problem is achieved by starting the engine, ensuring its warm-up at minimum idle speed, moving the fuel supply control to the maximum supply position at a given rate, first measuring the charge air pressure after the compressor part of the turbocharger at idle, when reaching and setting the maximum charge air pressure after the compressor part of the turbocharger, the gas pressure in the engine crankcase is measured, the pressure and temperature of the charge air after the compressor part of the turbocharger, the exhaust gas temperature before the turbine part of the turbocharger, the fuel supply control unit with a set rate are returned to the position of the minimum idle speed and the values of the charge air pressure indicators after the compressor part of the turbocharger are monitored, at the moment when the charge air pressure indicator after the compressor part of the turbocharger reaches the value corresponding to the initial, fixed at idle, the gas pressure in the engine crankcase, the charge air temperature after the compressor part of the turbocharger, the exhaust gas temperature before the turbine part of the turbocharger are measured, the final calculation of the evaluation criteria is made using the data obtained, if there is a malfunction, the faulty turbocharger element is determined based on the calculation results.
EFFECT: increased accuracy of determining the technical condition of the turbocharger.
