FIELD: engine and pumps.
SUBSTANCE: invention may be used for diagnosing piston ICEs with turbo compressor 3 and oil samp gas circulation system. Proposed method comprises defining pressure PC.H ICE crankcase at rated rpm to be compared with certificate rating. In case PC.H is three and more times higher than certificate rating, ICE rpm is increased to maximum magnitude. Pressure Pc.max inside crankcase is defined at maximum rpm and compared to PC.H.. Said comparison allows pinpointing the type of ICE failure. In case Pc.max differs from PC.H by not over 10%, wear of sleeve assembly 1 may be revealed. In case Pct.max increases relative to PC.H by 25% and higher, wear of turbo compressor bearing assembly 3 on turbine wheel side 5 may be revealed. In case Pc.max decreases relative to PC.H by 25% and mote, wear of wear of turbo compressor bearing assembly 3 on turbine wheel side 4 may be revealed.
EFFECT: higher validity of diagnostics.
