FIELD: animal husbandry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the industry of animal husbandry, ecology and veterinary medicine and is intended for use as a test for the degree of concentration of lithium in the muscle tissue of cattle. The method for determining the lithium content in the muscle tissue of cattle includes the analysis of a biosubstrate, which consists in the fact that a trace element analysis of the hair of cattle is carried out. The concentration Μn is determined, and then the regression equation is calculated: y = - 0,0335 + 0,0114х, where y is the Li content (mg/kg) in muscle tissue, x is the Μn content (mg/kg) in the hair.
EFFECT: method is accurate, non-invasive and non-traumatic, simple and convenient to study.
