FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to analytical chemistry and a method of determining concentration of lead in lungs of cattle of black-Motley breed. Method comprises determining concentration of Mn and/or Na in hair by atomic emission spectrometry with inductively bound plasma. Regression equation is then calculated, wherein content of manganese or sodium is used to determine concentration of lead in lungs by formula y = 0.0179x - 0.0067, where x is Mn content (mg/kg) in hair, where y is content of Pb (mg/kg) in lungs or by formula y = 0.0000334x + 0.007551, where x is Na content (mg/kg) in hair, y is content of Pb (mg/kg) in lungs.
EFFECT: use of method provides high-accuracy of determining lead content in lungs of cattle of black-Motley breed.
