FIELD: veterinary science.
SUBSTANCE: method to detect cadmium content in muscular tissue of cattle includes chemical analysis of cattle blood serum by methods of atomic emission spectrometry and atomic absorption spectrophotometry, then concentration of one or several elements chosen from Ba, P, Zn, Rb, is identified in the blood serum , and regression equations are calculated: y = 0.0092 + 0.00011x, where x - concentration of Ba in blood serum, y - content of Cd in muscular tissue; y = 0.0342-0.00015x, where x - concentration of P in blood serum, y - content of Cd in muscular tissue; y = 0.0233-0.0000118x, where x - concentration of Zn in blood serum, y - content of Cd in muscular tissue; y = 0.0209-0.0000262x, where x - concentration of Rb in blood serum, y - content of Cd in muscular tissue.
EFFECT: accuracy of cadmium detection in muscular tissue of cattle while an animal is alive, simplicity and convenience of the method.
