FIELD: medical equipment.

SUBSTANCE: mouthpiece for lighting teeth contains an optically transparent dental area, which is turned to the outside of teeth during use. A light guide passes along the dental area, and it is made with the possibility of transmitting light to the optically transparent dental area. The light guide has an outer surface containing the first surface facing the outside of teeth, and the second surface located opposite the first surface. At least one light source is made with the possibility of introducing light into the light guide. A separating element is located at least between a part of the first surface of the light guide and the optically transparent dental area. The separating element has a refractive index lower than a refractive index of the light guide to ensure, thus, complete internal reflection of at least part of the introduced light on at least part of the first surface. An output structure is made with the possibility of scattering light on a part of the second surface in the light guide to ensure that at least part of the scattered light can be transmitted through the first surface. At least part of the scattered light is distributed from the second surface to the first surface through a core of the light guide located between the first and the second surfaces.

EFFECT: ensuring the formation of uniform light intensity on teeth and reducing the heating of teeth.
