FIELD: earthquake-resistant equipment.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to shut-off and control valves used mainly in areas with high seismicity. The earthquake-resistant gate valve contains a welded rectangular cross-section housing, a cover and a rack. In the housing there is a gate between two spring-loaded seats with seals. A spindle is installed in the upper part of the housing. The housing is made stamp-welded, full-bore and consists of two integral trough-shaped parts. The seals are placed on the inner parts of the seat hubs located in the nozzles welded into the coaxial holes made in the wide walls of the housing. The inner ends of the seats are made in the form of flanges forming a seismic sealing unit of the gate. The sealing unit includes peripheral and central thrust sealing rings mounted in the working surface of each seat, as well as an anvil sealing polyurethane ring placed between them. The bed of the anvil ring is communicated by means of evenly distributed inclined holes with an intra-rib cavity.
EFFECT: increase in the seismic resistance of the gate valve by increasing strength, ensuring tightness and operability of the gate valve under seismic influences.
