FIELD: monitoring systems.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to monitoring systems for pumping stations. The monitoring module (13) is configured to process the pump load-dependent variable for each operating pump of the pumps (9a, 9b), indicating how at least one corresponding operating pump (9a, 9b) is operating, and at least one pipeline model-based parameter indicative of how wastewater flows through the pipeline (11) and/or pumps (9a, 9b). The monitoring module is configured to determine an operating scenario at a wastewater pumping station by selecting an operating scenario from a group of predetermined operating scenarios depending on at least one first criterion for each operating pump from pumps (9a, 9b), which is based on the corresponding, at least one pump load dependent variable; and at least one second criterion based on the at least one pipeline model-based parameter.
EFFECT: improving the reliability of detecting problems at a pumping station with at least two pumps.
