SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to veterinary science and medicine and can be used for treating radiation damage to the body. Proposed is a method for producing a biological product for treating radiation damage to the body, involving cultivation of bifidobacteria (B.bifidum) on a Blaurock medium at a temperature of 37°C for 72 hours in anaerobic conditions, removal of microbial cells by centrifugation at 3,500 rpm for 10 minutes, dissolution of turmeric powder in a supernatant until a 0.5% suspension is produced, followed by radio sterilisation on a gamma unit at a dose of 5.0 kGy, storage in a refrigerator at a temperature of 4 to 6°C. Also proposed is an application of the biological product produced by the above method for treating radiation damage to the body by single subcutaneous injection thereof into the body 24 hours after irradiation. The invention also relates to a method for treating radiation damage to the body in mice and rats, involving a single subcutaneous injection of a biological product produced by the above method into the body at a dose of 0.25 ml/kg of live weight 24 hours after irradiation.

EFFECT: finished product has a broad spectrum of action at significantly lower effective doses while maintaining a high level of survival.
