SUBSTANCE: invention relates to medicine, namely to urology, and can be used to predict the course of acute gestational pyelonephritis caused by vesicoureteral reflux. To do this, ultrasound monitoring of the upper urinary tract and the pelvicellular system is carried out. The patient is placed in an indwelling urethral catheter. Within 6 hours, subject to oral or intravenous hydration of the patient for this period in the amount of 12-15 ml of liquid per 1 kg of weight, ultrasound monitoring is performed 4-6 times. If at least a unilateral decrease in the degree of dilatation of the renal pelvis is detected by at least 1 cm in the maximum dimension compared to the initial one, the relief of acute pyelonephritis is predicted. In this case, the urethral catheter is left constant for the duration of the etiotropic antibiotic therapy.

EFFECT: method ensures the accuracy of predicting the further course of the disease due to a quick and objective test, which is safe for the patient, and also allows to differentiate the cause of the dilatation of the upper urinary tract, since the decrease in the dilatation of the CPS after the implementation of the method convincingly indicates vesicoureteral reflux as the cause of the disturbance of urodynamics.
