SUBSTANCE: invention relates to medicine, namely to dentistry, and can be used to predict the clinical course of the postoperative period in patients with maxillary sinus perforation, which arose during the operation of tooth extraction in the upper jaw. In the oral fluid, the concentration of C-reactive protein is determined before the operation to close the oroantral communication and 3 days after it. In the case of an increase in the level of C-reactive protein in the oral fluid on the 3rd day after surgery by 2 times or more, it is concluded that there is a risk of postoperative complications.

EFFECT: method improves the accuracy of predicting the clinical course of the postoperative period by assessing the dynamics of changes in the concentration of C-reactive protein in the oral fluid of patients.
