FIELD: nuclear technology.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the technology for recycling spent nuclear fuel, in particular, to methods for recycling highly active raffinate of irradiated nuclear fuel of nuclear power stations. The method for extracting molybdenum, platinum group metals and silver from nitric acid solutions includes contact of nitric acid raffinates of the extraction cycle with iron (III) hexacyanoferrate (II) powders. Extraction is executed in the range of concentrations of nitric acid from 0.7 to 5.0 mol/dm3 at a molar ratio of iron hexacyanoferrate to the sum of metal cations in the HCF raffinate: ΣMe = 1.0 to 1.5:1 in the temperature range from 20 to 80°C.
EFFECT: simultaneous extraction of molybdenum, platinum group metals and silver from raffinates with a total degree of extraction thereof of at least 90% is provided.
