SUBSTANCE: invention relates to biotechnology, namely to immunology and molecular biology, and concerns a method for determining the expression level of the gene encoding VEGF-A in rabbit eye tissues (Oryctolagus cuniculus) using real-time RT-PCR and a kit for its determination.
EFFECT: invention provides a protocol for sample preparation, formulation and calculation of the results of RT-POMR with an optimally selected set of reagents for this purpose, making it possible to reproduce the reaction with high accuracy in PCR laboratories, for further use in experimental ophthalmology, in preclinical studies of medical devices and, in particular, when testing anti-inflammatory drugs.
