IMPROVED METHOD FOR REGENERATION OF ALKALINE SOLUTION USED IN PROCESS OF EXTRACTION OF SULFUR COMPOUNDS THAT DOES NOT CONTAIN WASHING STAGE Russian patent published in 2021 - IPC B01D53/52 B01D53/78 B01D53/96 C10G19/08 C10L3/12

Abstract RU 2761345 C2

FIELD: chemistry.

SUBSTANCE: present invention relates to the field of extraction of sulfur compounds, such as mercaptans, COS or H2S, from a hydrocarbon fraction. This selective extraction is carried out by bringing a hydrocarbon fraction in a liquid phase into contact with an alkaline solution, for example sodium hydroxide. A method for the regeneration of a waste alkaline solution used in an installation for the extraction of sulfur compounds from a hydrocarbon fraction includes a sequence of following stages: a) direction of the waste alkaline solution to be regenerated to an oxidation reactor, where it is brought into contact with an oxidizer, a catalyst, and, possibly, a hydrocarbon fraction, wherein the specified waste alkaline solution is preliminary heated in a heat exchanger to a temperature in the range from 40 to 50°C, wherein an increase in the temperature is controlled by a cooling agent, which is an excess of the alkaline solution directed to the specified reactor, to one or several points; b) direction of a flow from the oxidation reactor to a separator, from which a disulfide-reach hydrocarbon fraction and a partially regenerated alkaline solution are taken, c) cooling of the partially regenerated alkaline solution obtained at the stage b) to a temperature of less than or equal to 45°C.

EFFECT: method, according to the invention, is an improved method for the regeneration of an alkaline solution, allowing for the reduction in the amount of the alkaline solution required in a regeneration section.
