SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR CREATING GROUP NETWORKS BETWEEN NETWORK DEVICES Russian patent published in 2021 - IPC H04L12/46 H04L12/24

Abstract RU 2761446 C1

FIELD: communication.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of communication. Group network devices are used to automatically perform network configuration for multiple network devices, regardless of whether the members of the group network are connected to the same physical LAN or to different geographically separated physical LANs, the group network allows members of the group network to communicate with each other and interact with each other using their own protocols, the group network supports different types of transmission channels and/or different transmission protocols defined by the transmission channels.

EFFECT: creating group networks between network devices that simplify interaction between them by calculating the configuration of the network address or subnet of the Internet Protocol (IP) based on the total number of network devices found in all physical segments of their local network belonging to a given group network, assigning IP addresses, subnet masks and gateway to network devices based on the calculated configuration of IP network addresses or subnet and configuring network devices using their assigned IP addresses, subnet masks and gateway.
