FIELD: metallurgy.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to metallurgy, namely to the production of low-carbon ferrochrome with a chromium content of at least 80 wt. %. The ignition part of the charge composition is used, wt. %: 51.7 of chromium concentrate, 27.6 of aluminum powder and 20.7 of sodium bichromate. Electric arcs are ignited and at a current load of 7-9 kA , as melting occurs, a batch loading of the oxide part of the charge of the composition is carried out, wt. %: 70.6 of of burnt chrome concentrate, 29.4 of burnt lime. After melting the oxide part of the charge and disconnecting the electric arcs, the reducing part is loaded into the furnace and melted, containing the remaining samples of burnt chromium concentrate, aluminum powder, sodium bichromate and the entire sample of chromium oxide and table salt at their ratio 1:(0,89-0,96):0,05:0,91:(0,01-0,04), and at the end of the melting, the melt is kept for 8-10 minutes in the furnace until the melt drops completely precipitate.
EFFECT: invention makes it possible to increase the extraction of chromium into the alloy, reduce the specific consumption of aluminum and electricity.
