SUBSTANCE: present invention relates to electroactive polymer of the formula:

including a main poly(salicylideniminato)nickel chain and substituents X, Y and Z, n=2-5, where substituents X and Z are described by the structural formula:
, and the substituent Y is -CH2-CH2-, or substituents X and Z are -CH3, and the substituent Y is described by the structural formula
or -CH2-CH2-. A method for producing electroactive polymer and an electrode for energy-saving devices based on electroactive polymer are also proposed.
EFFECT: obtaining electroactive polymer that can be used in supercapacitors and other energy-saving devices and that allows for increasing the totality of power and capacity characteristics of energy-saving devices.
