SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of medicine and is aimed at eliminating stuttering by refusing speech for a period of time from 2 to 12 months depending on the severity of the disease. For the period of refused speech, artificial speech is used as a method for communicating with people, played by means of a wearable speech aid apparatus. Thus, the verbal communication method usual for others is maintained, and in most cases the person can continue their basic activities: studying, work, gradually forgetting about speech with stuttering. After the end of the period of refused speech, a period of smooth return to speech begins. During this period, use of own speech is allowed only at the moment when the stuttering person does not anticipate the situation of the beginning of stuttering and does not experience any fear of speech. If even the slightest level of fear is displayed, artificial speech is used instead of own speech, or if this is not possible, verbal communication is refused. The duration of the period of return to own speech depends on the severity of stuttering and varies from 2 to 12 months, but can be prolonged.

EFFECT: method provides verbal communication without stuttering for a long period of time from 4 to 24 months, thereby contributing to the formation of a consistent positive speech experience.
