FIELD: metals corrosion protection.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of protecting metals from corrosion, in particular to compositions for treating industrial or domestic wastewater by adding bactericidal agents and methods of their use. The inhibitory composition includes a nitrite-benzoate composition, zinc ions Zn2+, a biocidal additive and urotropin, with the following ratios of components in mg/l of an aqueous solution: nitrite-benzoate composition from 100 to 400 mg/l, zinc ions Zn2+ 9 mg/l, biocidal additive 2.5 mg/l, urotropin 50 mg/l. The method includes the selection of points of injection and dosing of the corrosion inhibitor into the process pipelines, to which the chemical dosing units are connected, in the supply tanks of which a solution of the inhibitor composition is prepared by mixing its components with water and the dosed supply of the inhibitor composition to the wastewater stream is carried out.
EFFECT: reduction of the rate of corrosion processes of equipment and pipelines of sewage treatment facilities.
