FIELD: construction industry.
SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to the manufacture of wire meshes and can be used, in particular, to protect roads, embankments of watercourses from destruction and as an element of strengthening the embankment. The device contains an assembly of tubes (5) for directing wires (1), of which is twisted into a spiral shape, a spindle assembly (6) and a drum (8) receiving a wire mesh (7). The drum (8) is equipped with fixing elements (21). Between each tube (5) guiding the spirally twisted wire (1) and the interacting spindle (6), there is a straightening guide (10, 10') having an inlet (13, 15) interacting with the tube (5) and an outlet (12, 20) interacting with the spindle (6). The fixing elements (21) are located on the drum (8) in such a way that the manufactured wire mesh (7) has cells in which the ratio of width (A) to length (B) is less 0.75. The structural implementation of the wire mesh and the method for its manufacture using the specified device are disclosed.
EFFECT: tensile strength increases, the unwinding of the mesh is prevented in case of damage to a separate wire.
