The technical result is achieved due to the method for determining the key point of the face, involving: obtaining the image data containing a face; detecting a first key point of the face in the image data; identifying the type of face based on the first key point of the face; adjusting the position relative to the first key point of the face, accounting for the type of face; extracting an image of the facial features containing the characteristic facial features from the image data, based on the first key point of the face subjected to position adjustment; and detecting a second key point of the face in the image of the characteristic facial features.

EFFECT: increase in the accuracy of localising the key point of the face.
