Technical result is achieved by the fact that the disclosed solution provides for the possibility of obtaining a face image; determination of the human eye opening amplitude and the reference distance on the face image, wherein the reference distance is the distance between the point of the apex of the nose and the point of the tip of the nose; calculating the ratio of the amplitude of the human eye opening to the reference distance as a relative amplitude; wherein determining the amplitude of the opening of the eye of the person and the reference distance on the face image comprises: obtaining key points of the face by detecting key points of the face on the face image; identification of key points of human eye and reference key points from key points of face; calculating the amplitude of the opening of the human eye based on the key points of the human eye; and calculation of reference distance based on control key points.

EFFECT: determining degrees of human eye closure.
