FIELD: measuring.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a method for measuring the phase shift of signals from a Coriolis flow meter. In order to determine the phase shift, analogue-to-digital conversion of the signals of current or voltage of the flow meter is performed, the values of simultaneous discrete samples of the signals at consecutive points in time are obtained. The obtained values are viewed as points in a plane in a coordinate system, the axes whereof correspond to two analysed signals, and the set of such values obtained during at least one period of oscillation of one of the signals is viewed as a point cloud in said plane. A figure, the boundaries whereof follow the shape of said point cloud or part thereof with the smallest rate of error, is determined, wherein the boundaries are determined accounting for the attribution of a particular discrete sample to the section of increase or section of decrease of one of the signals. The area of said figure is determined, then the phase shift is determined based on the resulting area.
EFFECT: ensured automation of measurement, increased accuracy of measurement with minimised requirements for the accuracy of measuring time and for signal filtration, maintained accuracy of measurement with a change in the oscillation frequency, increase in the cost efficiency of processing.
