SUBSTANCE: method for automatic detection of periodicity in digital signal includes cutting digital stream of binary symbols onto blocks with length t, aforementioned array of symbols is represented in form of two-dimensional binary image of aforementioned digital stream, Hough transformation is performed for aforementioned array of symbols, with visualization of straight line on aforementioned image, composed only of 0 or only of 1, inclination angle θ of the straight line is computed, with usage of table matching between θ and T, value of T series period is determined.

EFFECT: invention solves the problem of development of method for automatic detection of periodicity in digital group signal without output of digital flow under examination to display and without participation of operator personnel, resulting in reduced processing time.
