FIELD: measuring equipment.

SUBSTANCE: dry gas seal designed to seal a turbomachine shaft contains docking ring (34), made with the possibility of attaching it to turbomachine shaft (14) to ensure the rotation of the specified ring at the speed of rotation of the shaft, primary ring (36), providing a seal opposite docking ring (34), wherein the primary ring is made with the possibility of non-rotating attachment to a stationary part of the turbomachine, one or more elastic elements (38), preloaded to push primary ring (36) to docking ring (34), wherein the primary seal ring is attached to holder (100) by means of a non-rotating system containing one or more non-rotating pegs or pins (40) and intermediate element or carrier (50) attached to primary ring (36) and acting as a pusher sleeve for axial pushing of primary ring (36) to docking ring (34) under the action of pre-loaded elastic element (38); in this case, there are one or more sensors made with the possibility of measuring forces and/or loads applied to primary ring (36) and/or to one or more elastic elements, and/or with the possibility of measuring displacements of primary ring (36) or intermediate element (50), for early detection of a seal malfunction, wherein the specified one or more sensors of the specified seal contain one or more sensors belonging to a group consisting of displacement sensor (42, 80) for measuring the axial displacement of the primary ring, displacement sensor (90) for measuring the axial displacement of intermediate element (50), strain gauge sensor (41) for measuring the torque applied to primary ring (36), load sensors (80) for measuring the static load acting on the carrier and/or primary ring, load sensors (80) for measuring vibrations of the carrier and/or primary ring.

EFFECT: obtaining a dry gas seal.
