FIELD: display production technologies.
SUBSTANCE: elastic transparent substrates are used in an elastic display, which are the base for the formation of a flexible layer of transparent thin-film transistors and the formation of light filters with a pixel grid. Polymer layers with grooves are applied to substrates from the inner side relatively to the volume intended for filling with liquid crystal molecules, orienting liquid crystal molecules in the free state. To achieve a gap between substrate with the flexible layer of thin-film transistors formed on it and substrate with the light filter formed on it with the pixel grid, distancing structures that are grown on substrate or a polymer layer with grooves are used. Liquid crystal molecules fill the volume between elastic transparent substrates containing two polarizing films located on surfaces of substrates. The connection of all components of the display is performed using a sealing, adhesive composition. The display is protected from external influences by means of one or more protective translucent films and/or coatings, which are located on outer sides of the elastic display.
EFFECT: invention makes it possible to obtain various types of displays with the possibility of changing the curvature in more than one plane and the possibility of changing geometric dimensions by more than 5% without loss of image quality.
