SUBSTANCE: proposed in the disclosure is a method implemented in an electronic apparatus to minimise the idle time in the operation of a door system. The method involves obtaining the identification information on the door system, followed by obtaining a state characteristic associated with the operation of the door system and linking the obtained state characteristic with the identification information on the door system. In the method, the fact whether the obtained state characteristic is related to any of at least one reference state characteristic is determined by comparing the obtained state characteristic with at least one reference state characteristic. The determined reference state characteristic is then linked to the identification information on the door system, and the information on technical maintenance of the doors is generated.
