FIELD: power supply.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to apparatuses of electrical substations for power supply system substations. The hardware and software complex comprises a server cluster including at least two servers, a data storage system, a network switch, a controlled USB port hub, an uninterruptible power supply, the network switch is configured to be connected by means of a local computing network to the physical equipment of the substation, the data storage system comprises software components for controlling elements of the physical equipment of the substation, and also comprises machine-readable instructions, during execution whereof the server cluster is configured to create at least two virtual machines and at least one virtual switch on at least one of the servers. The server cluster is configured to install and execute software components on at least two virtual machines for controlling elements of the physical equipment of the substation.

EFFECT: reduction in the amount of physical equipment, reduction in the volume of software licenses, and increase in the fault tolerance of substation-level systems and subsystems of electrical substations in the event of occurrence of hardware failures.
