SUBSTANCE: invention relates to electronics, in particular to automation of high-voltage switchgears of power facilities. Centralized intelligent electronic device of electric substation automation system comprises man-machine interface module arranged in housing, connected to touch screen display, relay protection and automation modules, electric energy meter and electrical energy quality control meters connected to the common power bus, which is equipped with a power bus redundancy module. Power bus redundancy module is connected to the main and backup power sources, and the central processing unit of the HMI module is equipped with permanent memory. Modules of the relay protection and automatics and the control system are configured to receive data from sources of measurement of current and voltage values of the electrical substation automation system.

EFFECT: technical result consists in improvement of efficiency of centralized IED of system of automation of electric substation at implementation of functions of commercial accounting and control of quality of electric power with simultaneous provision of reliability of power supply.
