FIELD: railway transport.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to railway transport. The system of braking equipment for a railway vehicle, mainly a freight one, contains an electro-pneumatic braking unit, a pneumatic braking unit, a switching valve and a valve for communicating/disconnecting the pneumatic brake from the brake line, located on a common plate. The electro-pneumatic braking unit is based on the use of an electric air distributor, which has an electro-pneumatic brake valve and an electro-pneumatic release valve and communicated with a reserve tank and through a pressure switch with brake cylinders; cavities of electro-pneumatic brake valves and release through the reservoir to reduce fluctuations in the pressure of the air wave and to ensure smooth pressure supply to this pressure switch. The switching valve is made with the function of selecting the braking mode for a cargo or passenger railway vehicle, communicated by one control cavity with the pneumatic braking unit, and the other with the output of the pressure switch of the electro-pneumatic braking unit and with a blocking valve device, which is communicated through the valves with the brake line, with the output of the pressure switch of the electro-pneumatic braking unit and with a separate pressure reservoir chamber charged from the pneumatic braking unit. The brake line through a blocking valve device, activated when the electro-pneumatic braking mode is activated, communicates with the chamber of a separate pressure reservoir that maintains the pressure in the reserve reservoir and the brake line.
