SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of railway technology, namely to bogies of railway vehicles, in particular freight cars. The bogie of a railway vehicle contains wheel pairs with axle boxes, on which axle openings, each of which contains side vertical walls and an upper horizontal section, support side frames, axle bearing adapters having an upper support surface, shock absorbers, installed in the axle openings of the side frames between the supporting surfaces of the axle opening of the side frame and the adapter of the axle bearing, while the supporting surface of each axle opening of the side frame is its upper horizontal section. The top seating surface of each axlebox bearing adapter is flat. Each shock absorber contains a bracket and a shock absorber plate, between which an elastic insert is placed and fixed, containing two layers of non-metallic elastic material, between which a metal insert is placed and fixed. The shock absorber plate is made with the possibility of its attachment to the supporting surface of the axle opening of the side frame. The bracket is made with a flat central section located on the upper supporting surface of the adapter, and bent side sections, embracing the adapter from its lateral sides, allowing the adapter to move within predetermined limits.

EFFECT: wear of the flanges of the wheels and rails is reduced, the driving performance of the bogie is improved.
