FIELD: physics.
SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to a tank built into a marine structure, wherein the tank comprises a tank wall having heat-insulating barrier (2, 5). Barrier includes multiple insulating panels (7, 8), each insulating panel (7, 8) having an upper surface forming a support surface. Two insulating panels (7, 8), located next to each other in longitudinal direction (L), are spaced apart by inter-panel space (15, 21). Heat-insulating barrier (2, 5) contains connecting gasket (16) placed in interpanel space (15, 21). Sealing element (4) has a flat strip extending in longitudinal direction (L) above the support surface and above one or more connecting gaskets. One said connecting gasket (16) is made so that upper surface (17) of connecting gasket (16) is located below the support surface in the thickness direction (E), and such that said upper surface (17) is located from the support surface in the thickness direction (E) by a non-zero distance less than a predetermined maximum separation distance during use, when the tank is in a state of loading with liquefied gas.
EFFECT: improved support of the sealing membrane in order to avoid any deflection phenomenon or to control it during compression of the sealing membrane.
