FIELD: watchmaking.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a non-magnetic watch component intended for a watch mechanism or external parts of a watch, and to the method for its manufacture. Essence: The non-magnetic watch component (1) contains a substrate (4) made of a copper alloy, while at least one part of the substrate (4) has a surface layer (5) including CuxTiy intermetalliсs.
EFFECT: creation of a watch component that makes it possible both to limit sensitivity to magnetic fields and obtain increased hardness compatible with the requirements for wear resistance and impact resistance in the field of watchmaking, while providing improved tribological properties for components such as axes of rotation, wheels, etc.
