SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a component for a clock mechanism, namely to a non-magnetic axis of rotation for a mechanical clock mechanism. Essence: axis of rotation (1) for a clock mechanism has at least one journal (3) on one of its ends, made of first non-magnetic metal material (4) to limit its sensitivity to magnetic fields. At least outer surface of said journal (3) is coated with layer (5) of second material selected from group including NiP.
EFFECT: high impact strength of a clock mechanism made of non-magnetic metal material.
