FIELD: chemical industry.
SUBSTANCE: present invention relates to a method for reducing the recirculation of heavy oxygenate into the reaction zone of conversion of methanol to olefins (MTO) and includes the following stages: feeding a stream (10) of raw materials containing methanol into the reaction zone (12) of MTO containing a reactor (14) operating under conditions providing an outlet stream (16), and the outlet stream contains light olefins, oxygenates and water; supply of the outgoing stream (16) to the product separation zone (18), made with the possibility of separating the outgoing stream (16) into a product stream (20) containing light olefins and a water stream (22) containing oxygenates and water; supply of the water stream (22) to the oxygenate distillation zone (26), made with the possibility of obtaining an oxygenate-enriched stream (28) and a stream (30) of water with a reduced amount of oxygenates; the oxygenate-enriched stream (28) is supplied to the conversion zone (32), made with the possibility of converting methanol to dimethyl ether (DME), and the conversion zone (32) contains a vessel (34) and is made with the possibility of obtaining a DME-enriched stream (38) and a heavy oxygenate-enriched stream (40); and the supply of a DME-enriched stream (38) to the MTO reaction zone (12). The invention also relates to a device for converting methanol into olefins.
EFFECT: proposed method makes it possible to effectively remove unnecessary or undesirable oxygenates from the recirculation flow into the MTO reactor.
