FIELD: waste treatment.
SUBSTANCE: present invention relates to methods for controlling the recovery of a spent catalyst used in a method for converting oxygenate to olefin, and, in particular, to methods for controlling various parameters to obtain a partially reduced catalyst with the required amount of coke. A method for controlling the reduction of the MTO catalyst in the catalyst reduction zone is described, including: the supply of oxygen-containing gas (26) to the catalyst reduction zone (14); partial recovery of the spent catalyst flow (10) from the reaction zone (12) of methanol-to-olefins (MTO), wherein the spent catalyst (10) includes coke; separation of the reduced catalyst (28) from the flue gas (30), wherein the reduced catalyst (28) has a reduced amount of coke, and the flue gas (30) contains carbon monoxide and carbon dioxide; recirculation of part (44) of the flue gas (30) into the catalyst reduction zone (14) together with oxygen-containing gas (26); and maintaining the ratio of carbon dioxide and carbon monoxide in the flue gas (30) at a level of at least 0.5.
EFFECT: creation of a method for controlling the degree of catalyst reduction to ensure the required amount of coke on the reduced catalyst.
